Our Process:
Each year, schools and educational institutions across Ethiopia are invited to nominate their top students for the Ethiopian National Students’ Award. A panel of esteemed educators, community leaders, and past award recipients carefully reviews each nomination to select the most deserving candidates. The selection process is rigorous and transparent, ensuring that only the best and brightest are honored

Advocating for Student Rights and Participation
The Education & Students Rights Working Group ensures that students are empowered to actively participate in decisions affecting their education. We advocate for policies that safeguard student rights, including freedom from discrimination, access to safe learning environments, and protection from unfair academic practices.
Supporting Educational Reforms Aligned with Global Standards
To ensure that African education systems remain competitive on a global scale, we support reforms that are aligned with international standards. This includes advocating for curriculum updates, modernization of teaching methods, and the adoption of new technologies in the classroom. We engage with stakeholders to push for policies that improve education outcomes.
Promoting Quality and Inclusive Education for All
We are committed to the belief that education should be a fundamental right, accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. This includes advocating for equal opportunities for marginalized groups such as women, students with disabilities, and those from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.
Facilitating Access to Scholarships and Learning Resources
Many students face financial barriers to education, and our working group is dedicated to addressing this issue. We collaborate with governments, NGOs, and educational institutions to create more scholarship opportunities for African students. In addition to scholarships, we promote initiatives that provide students with learning resources, such as free or affordable textbooks, access to libraries, and digital education tools.
